Komodo is one of the pioneers in sustainable fashion. What started as an epic travelogue across Asia in 1988 has now grown into an eclectic mix of Eastern and Western designs that can be seen at the fashion shows in London, Paris, Florence and Tokyo. It is very important to Komodo that their materials are sustainable and that their employees are treated well.
Environmentally friendly: the clothing is made from GOTS certified organic cotton, hemp, linen, modal, Tencel, Cupro, recycled PET, upcycled rubber, wool and corozo (for the buttons). These are natural, organic and innovative materials. The Merino wool (which is only used in the winter collections) is certified and comes from a non-mulesing source. The packaging material is made from recycled paper, vegetable compostable foil and paper tape.
